Luís Portela, Chairman of the BIAL Foundation, was distinguished in the formal session of the commemorations of the 25th anniversary of Vila do Coronado, which took place on the 24th of July, in the presence of the Mayor of Trofa, Sérgio Humberto, and the Chairman of Parish Council of Coronado, José Ferreira.
On the day that the 25th anniversary of its elevation to Vila was marked, the Coronado Parish Council brought together companies, health professionals and entrepreneurial forces from the Vila in a ceremony in which Luís Portela was the guest of honour, having been awarded a commemorative plaque.
Luís Portela highlights the importance of Vila do Coronado for pharmaceutical company BIAL and for the BIAL Foundation. “We are in Coronado since 1996 and so I feel like I am from Coronado. I spent most of my days in the last 25 years in Coronado, a parish that welcomed us and where we have a very good relationship with the people around us”, he recalled.
