The BIAL Foundation has just published the Proceedings of the 14th "Behind and Beyond the Brain" Symposium, a compilation of the speakers' lectures. The abstracts of some of the supported research projects presented at this meeting in poster sessions and oral communications are also included.
The 14th Symposium was held from April 3 to 6, 2024, at Casa do Médico, in Porto, and gathered more than 26 internationally renowned specialists to debate the theme “Creativity”. In this edition, prestigious neuroscientists, psychologists, philosophers, and artists came together for an in-depth, multidisciplinary dialogue on what is one of the most defining characteristics of the human mind.
Every two years, since 1996, the Foundation organizes the "Behind and Beyond the Brain" Symposium - a discussion forum that brings together grant holders and several world-renowned experts in the fields of neurosciences and parapsychology.
